Equipment

  • 1 Non-stick skillet
  • 1 Tongs
  • 1 Measuring spoons
  • 1 Plate
  • 1 Sharp knife

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ahi tuna steaks about 6 oz each
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds optional
  • Microgreens for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Pat the ahi tuna steaks dry with paper towels.
  • Season both sides with sea salt and black pepper.
  • Heat olive oil and sesame oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Place tuna steaks in the skillet and sear for 1.5-2 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  • Remove from skillet and drizzle lightly with soy sauce.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.
  • Plate the tuna and garnish with microgreens. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust cooking time depending on desired doneness; tuna cooks quickly.
  • Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a light salad for a complete meal.
