Ingredients
  

  • 4 fillets cod fish fresh or thawed
  • 3 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika optional for color and flavor
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease your baking dish with olive oil or line it with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the garlic mixture: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, and smoked paprika.
  • Season the cod: Place the cod fillets in the baking dish, drizzle with the olive oil mixture, and season with salt and black pepper.
  • Bake the cod: Cook for 12–15 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Avoid overbaking to keep it moist and tender.
  • Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice before serving. Serve warm with roasted vegetables, potatoes, or salad.

Notes

For a crispier finish, broil the cod for the last 2 minutes of baking.
