- 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes adjust to taste
- 1 cup diced tomatoes canned or fresh
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup white wine optional
- 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
- 1 lb clams cleaned
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
- Lemon wedges for serving
Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and white wine (if using). Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add shrimp and clams to the sauce. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, until shrimp are pink and clams open. Discard any unopened clams.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Toss cooked pasta with the sauce until evenly coated.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedge
